Barb Pettigrew

My prime focus as a Secondary School art teacher has been to encourage ways of seeing and understanding the environment as a necessary component in developing ideas for artworks. Throughout my life I have spent time creating and making colourful art and holding numerous solo exhibitions. Predominant subject matter has included buildings, flowers, dogs, musical instruments and landscapes in both realistic and semi-abstract styles.
THEN AND NOW: Barb Pettigrew's studio displays a diverse range of work from past to present day. Vivid colour influences her variety of two- and three-dimensional techniques, and subject matter.
